* Visitor expenditure increased by 11% to 2.3 billion.
* 10,7 million total nights spent by visitors in the state.
Add to this the new airport runway and you can see what the future holds for the island state.
The T20 visitor economy stratergy for Tasmania which is a partnership between the Tasmanian government and the Tasmanian tourist industry 't21.net aims to increase visitor numbers to 1,5 million with expected expenditure of 2.5 billion by the year 2020.
The stratergy plan is well on its way to meet those goals with a massive increase of 38% in Chinese visitors in the last 3 years alone.
The potential for the tourist industry and anyone involved in it should be obvious.
